Shreveport Man Arrested Over Weekend Stabbing
A stabbing on Saturday evening has left a Shreveport woman hospitalized and a man in jail.
On Saturday, December 12, 2020, just before 3:00 p.m., Shreveport Police responded to a stabbing on the 1000 block of Quail Creek Road at the Jolie Apartments. Officers located a 32-year-old female suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to Ochsner LSU Health with possible life-threatening injuries.
Investigators were summoned to this location and began their investigation. After conducting multiple witness interviews and collecting evidence, detectives learned that Grandville Williams,( 07/19/88) had stabbed the victim multiple times with a knife. Williams is a resident of the Jolie Apartments. The female victim is an employee of the apartment complex. Preliminary information suggests that the stabbing resulted from an altercation between Williams and the victim.
Grandville Williams apparently went back to his apartment after the stabbing as police found him at his apartment after executing a search warrant. He was immediately taken into custody. Williams sustained a laceration to his hand during the incident with the victim. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health and treated for his injury. Upon being released from the hospital, Williams was charged with one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
The victim is in stable condition
