Shreveport Man Arrested for Arson

Shreveport fire investigators and police officers have arrested 58-year-old Sammie Sherman on a charge of aggravated arson.  

He's accused of setting fire to a house in the 1900 block of Linear Street while four people were inside.  They were able to get out safely but the home was heavily damaged.  An investigation led to Sherman who was taken into custody at a house in the same block.  If convicted, he could face up to twenty years behind bars and/or a fine of up to $25-thousand.
