Who Are The Most Powerful Men in Shreveport Today?

You are going to probably scroll this list to see if someone you know is on it. It's tough to create a list of the most powerful men in the Shreveport area. I am pretty certain I am missing someone. To the folks who should be on the list, but aren't, I'm sorry.

Maybe they will make the list next year. Or maybe they fell off of the list. I have been asking lots of local folks about who they think are the most powerful men in the Shreveport Bossier area right now. These 20 names kept popping up.

I decided to put this list out just before Father's Day because many of these men are Dads too. They should be honored for their public work and everything they do to be great fathers.

Some of them are government officials. Some are spiritual leaders. A couple of them are in the business world. This list is a bit flawed because it often spotlights the folks who get all the attention and not the people behind the scenes doing all the day to day work. But these men have gotten to their positions by building coalitions and being good at what they do.

You might see this list change over the next year depending on what happens with the election this fall. There are some men who have been on the list in previous years who are not included this time around. That list includes David Montgomery, Senator Greg Tarver, Robert Adley, Brian Crawford and James Elrod. Those men still have lots of influence, but not quite as much as they have had in the past.

You might even find one or two on this list you wish you didn't have as much power as they do. I'll let you figure that out.
