Because of all the rain that fell ahead of Shreveport Green's outdoor gala "Feast," originally set for May 29, it had to be rescheduled. The new date is Thursday, June 12, and it's expected to be just as great as originally planned.

A team of farmers, chefs and sponsors are planning a four-course food experience with accompanying wines "designed to reconnect you to the land and origina of the food." Some of the dishes you can expect: Petite Tomato Tarte Tatin, Blue Crab Crusted Catfish and Creole Cream Cheesecake.

Feast is being held in the Pecan Orchard at The Oaks of Louisiana, located at 3000 Flournoy-Lucas Road in Shreveport. It starts at 6 p.m.

There are some tickets still available, which you can purchase for $125 each by calling Shreveport Green at 219-1888, ext. 16, or visiting the agency's website and clicking on "Feast."
