Great American Cleanup

The Great American Cleanup is coming up April 9th. Donna Curtis with Shreveport Green says about 450 volunteers are already on-board...but more are always needed. She says the goal of the campaign is to make Shreveport cleaner -- both for aesthetic and economic development purposes. Volunteers sign up to clean an area of their choice from 8 a.m. to noon that Saturday. The Mooretown, Queensboro and Highland neighborhoods are some of the biggest focus spots. If you want to register, you have through today to do that. But you can always just show up and help out, if you like.
