The fire was quickly called-in thanks to a neighbor calling Caddo 911 after seeing the smoke. The first unit arrived on scene in less than 3 minutes and could see smoke coming from the roof of the home. Firefighters quickly made a plan of offensive attack to put the blaze out.

8 Firefighters worked fast and were able to get the fire under control within minutes using quick-thinking and teamwork. The rapid response made it so the fire couldn't spread to other nearby houses.

The Shreveport Fire Department continues to urge all residents to report suspicious activity or unusual behavior to the proper authorities. Community awareness and engagement are critical to ensuring public safety."

Conditions Worsen at One of Shreveport's Most Popular Hotels, the Holidome

A once popular hotel and hangout in Shreveport is in complete disrepair. The Ramada, formerly the Holiday Inn Holidome, has been closed for years and now has been ransacked by vandals and squatters. But, there could be hope on the horizon with a new owner.
