101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty talk about the Shreveport City Council's ongoing discussions of the proposed "Clean City Fee" and whether the group's inability to come to a decision on that legislation is necessarily is a bad thing.

Earlier in the morning, in an interview with Shreveport Councilwoman LeVette Fuller, McCarty asked why, in almost three months in office, the council "has accomplished so little." Meanwhile, RJW took the stance that government is designed to move slowly and that "we have a front row seat to see democracy in action."

At Tuesday's meeting, the council decided to delay a final vote on a $7 monthly fee, an idea proposed by Councilman James Green. The council previously defeated legislation initiated by Mayor Adrian Perkins, which called for an $18 monthly fee.
