Shreveport Chef to Prepare Spectacular Dish for Charity Event
This is going to be one of the most exclusive dining experiences in Louisiana and a Shreveport chef is one of the amazing folks in the kitchen preparing a spectacular dish. This is a charity event with some of the proceeds going to a food bank in south Louisiana.
When Is This Food Extravaganza?
The 2022 Chefs to Watch Dinner is coming up on Thursday October 13th in Covington on the Northshore of Lake Ponchartrain. This sensational food experience is being held at the Southern Hotel, which is a beautiful historic hotel that has been completely restored.
Louisiana Cookin’ is sponsoring this food extravaganza which will feature some of the hottest chefs from all around the state. Only one of them is from the Shreveport area and we are so proud to learn Niema Longstratt will be preparing some delectable food for this event.
Now this is going to be a busy month for Longstratt. She is also one of the finalists in the Food Prize event happening on October 21 in Shreveport. Click here to see the chefs who will be cooking at the Food Prize event.
It's not too late to get tickets to this event. But it's pretty pricey. Tickets start at $175 dollars and range up to $5,000. You can bet this will be one tasty meal and you will not leave hungry. I'm sure you will also get a little time with the chefs at this six-course dinner with wine pairings.
The St. Tammany Parish Tourist Commission is sponsoring the event which will kick off at 6:30pm with artisan cocktails and small bites from some former "Chefs to Watch" Keith and Neely of LOLA Restaurant and Chef Steven Marsella of the Gloriette.
