Shayne Sharkey Talks Saving Fairgrounds Field

As part of Mayor Adrian Perkins' bond proposal is money to tear down Fairgrounds Field. The community is torn on the subject. Some think the old stadium is worth saving and restoring. Others feel that Field is an eyesore and needs to be removed.

One man who is pushing to save Fairgrounds Field is Shayne Sharkey. Sharkey's hope is to get funding to put new life into the old stadium.

Erin and Dan Keele spoke with Sharkey this morning to discuss his plan for saving Fairgrounds Field. He talked about his dreams of  bringing it back to life and using it as a multi sport-complex for under privileged children in the area.
