According to KSLA, a disciplinary hearing will be held today at the Haughton Town Hall for an Haughton Police Officer who attempted a daring rescue in last week's flood. A victim and her family were clinging to a tree off of Davis Road after her vehicle was washed away. The unnamed officer attempted to rescue the family before he was also swept away by rushing waters.

Eventually, the Bossier Fire Department arrived by boat to rescue the family and the officer. Even though he was unable to rescue the family, the victims say they felt better just knowing someone was there attempting to help.

The 5pm meeting will be about the officer's alleged violation of policy and procedure.
