The New Orleans Saints are apparently close to adding some help at a position where they are currently thin at the moment.

The 31-year old Cook had the best season of his career with the Oakland Raiders in 2018, catching 68 passes for 896 yards and 6 touchdowns.

A third-round selection in the 2009 NFL Draft by Tennessee, Cook spent four seasons with the Titans, before playing three years for the St. Louis Rams (2013-2015), and one for the Green Bay Packers (2016), prior to his time the last two seasons with the Raiders.

A 2018 Pro Bowl selection, the 6-foot-5, 255-pound Cook has accumulated 425 career receptions for 5,464 yards and 25 touchdowns.

The Saints, who hosted Cook for a visit last week, are seeking help at the tight end position, after losing last year's starter, Benjamin Watson, who elected to retire.
