This week, 73 people were booked and kept in Caddo Correctional Center for various crimes.
One of those booked was arrested after bringing a gun in to a local hospital.

Shreveport Police have arrested a convicted felon after he entered Willis-Knighton North Hospital while armed with a gun.
Yesterday, at 12:20 a.m., Shreveport Police Officers were dispatched to Willis-Knighton North Hospital on Greenwood Road, in reference to an armed man at the emergency entrance.
When SPD got to the scene, Officers made contact with Willis-Knighton Police and security personnel, who told Officers that Branden Mitchell had entered the emergency entrance and lobby while armed with a revolver. Hospital security safely secured the gun and immediately called the Shreveport Police Department.
Mitchell admitted to SPD that he was aware he was a convicted felon and claimed he had found the revolver in a bush. Further investigation confirmed that Mitchell has multiple felony convictions, including domestic abuse battery involving serious bodily injury and burglary. Those convictions prohibit him from possessing a firearm.
Mitchell was arrested and charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of possession of a firearm on hospital property.
From SPD:
"The Shreveport Police Department thanks Willis-Knighton Police and security personnel for their quick action in safely securing the firearm and helping prevent a potentially dangerous situation inside a hospital emergency area."
