Rep. Dodie Horton Endorses Abraham in Gov's Race

State Rep. Dodie Horton talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about her recent endorsement of Congressman Ralph Abraham in the race for Governor of Louisiana.

Horton tells KEEL listeners that her choice of Abraham over Baton Rouge businessman Eddie Rispone was not an easy one, as "both are fine men." But the Haughton rep explains, "I went through a gamut of issues, all the problems the state of Louisiana is facing and he (Abraham) gets it. He understands the issues that we face, he will be bold and guide (Louisiana) into a new era."

Horton, a first term legislator from House District 9, faced no opposition in her reelection bid and will begin her second term in January of 2020.
