A grizzly discovery in Shreveport when a demolished home revealed the body of a woman underneath. The Caddo Parish Coroner has released a statement but, has yet to publicly Identify the woman pending DNA Results.

The badly decomposed body was found Monday, March 28, 2022, at a house under demolition in Shreveport's Mooretown neighborhood.

The human remains were found by a worker removing debris at a vacant residence in the 4100 block of Miles Street just after 12:30 p.m.

The coroner's office has a presumptive ID but will not release a name or identifying details until the identity of the decedent has been scientifically determined through DNA analysis and her family properly notified.

The manner and cause of death are pending autopsy results.
