Red River Boat Ramps Re-Open

good news for boaters -- the ramps are open again.  the red river waterway commission has re-opened the public boat ramps in caddo and bossier parishes.  the stoner avenue, teague parkway, bishop point, and north caddo/bossier recreation area ramps had been closed because of high, swift water.  but, even though the ramps are open again, the commission is advising boaters to use caution when launching into the current and to be highly aware of obstacles like trees and sandbars while navigating the river.  what's more, the ramps may have to be closed again in a few days because the red is predicted to rise again.
