Hines says both the victim and suspect are male, and the shooting took place in front of the suspect's residence. He added that the family of the victim had just returned home after a funeral.
During a press conference Hines referred to the situation as "senseless" and called the suspect a "fool". He described the scenario by saying that after family members returned from a funeral, the suspect came out of his home armed, and shot the victim while arguing over parking.
