Our Top 5 Shreveport/Bossier Weekend Events Friday, May 17 – Sunday, May 19

The bi-annual Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air and Space Show is this Saturday and Sunday. The north and west gates will open each day at 9 am with festivities starting at 11 am. Admission and parking are both free!

This Saturday, it's your chance to fill up on exotic wild game, surf, turf and more at Centenary College's  Annual Beast Feast! The event runs from 4:30 - 7:00 pm at Jones Rice Field. Tickets are $25 in advance and $40 at the door and kids 12 and under are free. Attendees will get a Beast Feast cup, koozie, and a tasting tray to sample all of the creations.

Head to Bear's on Fairfield Avenue this Friday and Saturday starting at 4 pm and 5 pm respectively. There's going to be tons of free music and the event is fundraiser for Woody's Home for Veterans. Tickets are $10 per day or $15 for both days.

They're calling this event a combination of circus, theater and cabaret. That got your attention, didn't it? There are several shows at the State Fair of Louisiana fairgrounds through this Sunday. Just beware that the show is not intended for those under 17. 13-17 will be permitted with a parent or guardian. ID's will be checked.
