Our Top 5 Shreveport/Bossier Memorial Day Weekend Events

We clearly can't start off a list for this particular holiday weekend without a listing of ways to honor our heroes. Click the link to find out about different events this Monday on Memorial Day.

It's not Memorial Day weekend without a ton of mudbugs, beer, and live music! Kick off summer at the 36th Annual Mudbug Madness Festival. Festival hours are 11 am - 11 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday and admission is free until 5 pm on Friday, $5 all other times... Unless you're military! Thanks to the Shreveport Regional Airport who are taking care of military and their  families if you have a military I.D!

Army veteran, USO entertainer, and country music superstar is playing a special Memorial Day weekend show Sunday night at DiamondJacks Casino. This show starts at 8 pm and is 21+. At last check, some tickets were still available for $40.

Country heart-throb Dustin Lynch is bringing his catalog of hits to Horseshoe's Riverdome Friday night starting at 8 pm. If you don't have tickets yet, the only ones I could find online were verified resale tickets starting at $72.01.

For a more festive Memorial Day experience, head to Harrah's Louisiana Downs Monday from 11 am - 5 pm. Admission is free and the piggies will race between post times for the Memorial Day Race Card. You can also expect a free petting zoo and kids area as well as face painting for a small fee. Food trucks will be on site with some of the best food in the area. Post time for the first race is 3:15 pm.
