Beyond the Call: See How This Shreveport Officer Made a Real Difference
All too often we hear about things police officers are accused of. We rarely hear about all the great things officers do on a daily basis.
So when we got wind of this action by a Shreveport officer, we had to share it with you.

A grateful citizen sent a thank you note to Chief Wayne Smith about the officer's actions.
I wanted to share an incredible experience with an amazing police officer named Officer Johnny. Today, I had the unfortunate luck of getting a flat tire due to a large object on the exit ramp off W70th Street. I pulled into the nearest parking lot and saw Officer Johnny backed into a corner. I didn’t want to disturb him, assuming he had more important things to do.

But this driver did not have to approach the officer. Romero quickly pulled his patrol car over and offered to help with the problem. The woman says not only did the officer change the tire, but they chatted about their sons and he made her feel very comfortable during a stressful situation.
This resident adds: "There’s always something negative being said about officers, especially in Caddo. I just wanted to share a positive story about an officer who took the time to care. Thank you, Officer Johnny, for your kindness today. I’m extremely grateful.”
This is just a reminder about how many great things officers do that we rarely see. The vast majority of them are out there to serve and protect and they do it so well.
