Newly elected Shreveport City Council members Grayson Boucher, John Nickelson and LeVette Fuller talk with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about their campaigns, the election and what they see as their role in charting a new direction for the city.

The three, all elected to political office for the first time, tell KEEL listeners the reasons for their decision to run, as well as the issues they - and their constituents - consider the most important. Fuller, Boucher and Nickelson all echo the major themes of the recent mayoral campaign: crime and the economy.

All of the group say they are optimistic about the new mayor and detail their plans in working with Adrian Perkins to tackle the problems facing the city.

Hear Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty weekday mornings from 6 til 9 on 101.7 / 710 KEEL, or by downloading the free KEEL app, presented by Office Furniture Source.
