The announcement was made earlier today that around 170 jobs will be added at the Shreveport Airport. Shreveport Times reports that Western Global Airlines will be putting their maintenance hub at the airport. Western Global has a large fleet of cargo freight carrier planes including many 747's and Wide Body Aircraft.

Shreveport Times was told by Western Globals founder James Neff that “Western Global is pleased to select Shreveport for its worldwide aircraft heavy maintenance base.” This could be a great partnership with the company growing in recent years already serving around 300 airports in 115 countries.
