
Shreveport Police Arrest Three in Back-to-Back Domestic Violence Cases
The Shreveport Police Department has arrested three individuals over a three-day span as part of an ongoing proactive enforcement campaign targeting domestic violence across the city.
Officials say the department remains committed to responding rapidly to domestic abuse calls, holding offenders accountable, and protecting victims and families from further harm.
Warrants Unit Apprehends Suspect on Domestic Battery Charges

On July 16, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Warrants Unit located and arrested Humphrey Tyler. Tyler was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for domestic abuse battery.
Argument Leads to Assault and Obstruction Charges

On July 15, 2026, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at approximately 8:00 a.m. Following a brief investigation at the scene, police arrested Cedric Reed. Reed faces charges of one count of domestic abuse aggravated assault and one count of obstruction of justice.
Afternoon Disturbance Ends in Arrest

The string of arrests began on July 14, 2026, when officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance around 4:00 p.m. Following their on-scene investigation, police arrested Shamya Jefferson, who has been charged with domestic abuse aggravated assault.
