Narcotics Investigation in Shreveport Nets Three Arrests, Seizure of Drugs
Three men accused of peddling illegal drugs in Caddo Parish are now out of business, and in jail.
During an investigation into illegal distribution of high-grade marijuana, agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit got a warrant to search a hotel room in the 4900 block of Monkhouse Drive.
During the operation, which involved at least two traffic stops, a brief vehicle pursuit and a foot chase, agents ultimately arrested 25-year-old Zackery Summage, 24-year-old Leslie Rhodes -- both of Shreveport -- and 24-year-old Skyler Dean, of Santa Cruz, California.
They also seized about six pounds of high-grade marijuana, two pounds of hash, 10 ounces of hashish oil, a handgun, a pick-up truck and $20,000 cash.
Summage is charged with two counts of possessing with intent to distribute a Schedule I narcotic, one count of illegally carrying firearms with controlled dangerous substances and one of aggravated flight from officers.
Rhodes is charged with one count of possessing with intent to distribute a Schedule I narcotic.
Dean is charged with two counts of possessing with intent to distribute a Schedule I narcotic and one count of illegally carrying firearms with controlled dangerous substances. All three have been booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
