Two people were arrested after officers found marijuana inside a gift box. The Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit, a unit co-operated by Caddo Sheriff's Deputies and Shreveport Police, arrested Robert Mayfield and Ronda Robinson after agents found 15 pounds of high grade pot hidden inside a gift wrapped box.

The pair were pulled over on Barron Road by a K9 unit Sunday night. Chuck, the K9 officer, alerted his handler that the couple's Nissan Altima may contain narcotics. The officer then called the Narcotics Unit to investigate. Upon further investigation, drug agents found the drugs hidden in the truck inside a box disguised a present.

Two juvenile girls, ages 3 and 5, were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the arrest. Robinson and Mayfield were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of someone under the age of 17.

By the way, the "present" had a street value of $168,000.
