Seven Arrested in ‘Clean Sweep’ Narcotics Operation
An undercover narcotics operation titled 'Clean Sweep' nets seven arrests and a lot of drugs off the streets.
Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit executed search warrants at four homes in the north Shreveport area.
At 2010 W. Algonquin, 36-year-old Shawn Penn, 26-year-old Cordell Hardman and 37-year-old Frankie Thornton were all arrested. Penn faces possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Hardman and Thornton were charged with possessing marijuana. This was Hardman's 2nd offense and Thornton's 3rd. Thornton was also charged with parole violation.
At 4585 N. Narket, 38-year-old Bernard Moses was charged with possessing with intent to distribute marijuana and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor.
At 2000 Grimmett Drive, 27-year-old Keyo Williams and 36-year-old LaWanda Washington were arrested. Williams is charged with entering and remaining after being forbidden and parole violation. Washington faces possessing Schedule III drugs and possessing a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance.
And at 2046 Talbot, 36-year-old Kendrick Williams was charged with possessing with intent to distribute marijuana and cocaine, possessing a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance and parole violation.
According to Lt. Carl Townley with the Narcotics Unit, more than 370 grams of high-grade marijuana, over 100 hits of MDMA, 13 hits of Molly, miscellaneous pills, just over seven grams of cocaine and four handguns were seized during the operation.
All those arrested were booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
