The Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit has put several suspects accused of drugs and weapons offenses behind bars.

Agents were responding to numerous complaints from concerned citizens, as well as information and intelligence gathered during the course of an ongoing investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotics. They conducted a special operation in the 2900 block of Poland Street, and arrested nine suspects:

26-year-old Demarcus Abrone, for possessing Schedule I narcotics

30-year-old Demetrius Carter, for possessing Schedule I narcotics

24-year-old Deangelo Davidson, for manufacture/distribution of Schedule I narcotics, possessing Schedule II narcotics, flight from an officer

22-year-old Cordavien Anderson, for possessing Schedule I narcotics, illegal possession of a stolen firearm

36-year-old Christopher O'Neal, for manufacture/distribution of Schedule I narcotics

21-year-old Detrize Barnes, on city warrants

25-year-old Shadrach Cummings, for illegal use of a weapon

28-year-old Tammy Britt, on city warrants

25-year-old Rannita Williams, on city warrants

All of the suspects were booked into Caddo Correctional Center with the exception of Barnes, Britt, Cummings and Williams, who were booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
