Mysterious Lights: Do You Buy the Explanation? [VIDEO]

DeSoto Parish Sheriff Jayson Richardson talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about Sunday evening's mysterious lights, seen by thousands across the Ark-La-Tex.

Richardson tells KEEL listeners that his office received numerous calls from concerned citizens. As a result, he says, he made calls to both the FAA and Barksdale Air Force Base, where he was told that those mysterious lights were " military equipment flying in formation toward Houston."

Social media was abuzz Sunday evening around 7pm when lights were spotted in the southern sky.

"Social media around the area was full of questions about the lights. Some suggesting black helicopters, others saying plane formations, and some claiming they were drones. The conversations exploded with people being completely sure they knew what the lights were debating with others who were completely sure they knew what they were."
