LSU Health Shreveport medical students have two fundraising events set for this week.

The first event is a talent show to honor longtime anatomy professor Dr. David DeSha and raise money for an endowment in his name. This is the third year for the funrdaiser. It's being held at 5:30 this evening at LSU Health Shreveport's auditorium, on the first floor of the medical school.

General admission tickets are $10 and student tickets are $5, and you can get those at the door. Check out the event's Facebook page for more information. CLICK HERE for a preview of the talent show.

Another event is coming up Saturday. It's a 5K Walk/Run/Roll that will raise money for Camp Tiger, a week-long camp for special needs children in the Shreveport-Bossier area. This fundraiser will help keep the camp free for attendees.

The one-mile fun run starts at 8 a.m., the 5K at 8:30 and a special needs fun run/walk/roll at 10:30. You can register on SportSpectrum's website through tomorrow.
