
Louisiana State Fair Shooting Suspect Arrested
Shreveport Police began searching for 17-year-old Donald Ray Jackson following a shooting incident at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds on November 6, 2021. Detectives procured an Order to Take into Custody for Jackson charging him with one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
On November 15, 2021, family Members surrendered Jackson to Violent Crimes detectives and was taken into custody without incident thanks to their efforts. Jackson was subsequently transported for booking on the Outstanding OTTIC for Attempted Second Degree Murder and for Illegal Possession of Handgun by a Juvenile.
Jackson's victim who he gunned down at the State Fair in front of several witnesses suffered severe injuries, but survived.
