Shreveport Police Searching for Vicious Hammer Attack Suspect

Early this week, Shreveport Police got a call about a brutal assault on West 68th Street.

SPD Detectives found that Shaunlexis George Stafford broke in to her mother's house and attacked her sister with a hammer. Stafford beat her sister all over her body with the weapon and then turned the hammer on her sleeping mother.

The mother was beaten so severely that she is in life-threatening condition in ICU. The sister is in critical but stable condition.

SPD got warrants out on Stafford for 2 counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder.

From SPD:

"At this time, investigators believe that Stafford has fled to Texas. Law enforcement agencies are actively working to locate and apprehend her.

Anyone with information on Stafford’s whereabouts is urged to contact authorities immediately."

UPDATE: Stafford was arrested after a car chase.
