Louisiana Senator Cassidy Won’t Show Up for Debate on Moon Griffon Show
The political fireworks continue in Louisiana. U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy says he will not take part in the April 28th Senate debate on the Moon Griffon Show. Cassidy says part of the problem is the timing of the debate.
Cassidy told KEEL News a debate at 9 in the morning is not convenient for most voters to watch or listen. We did remind the Senator that the video would be available online for viewing later, but he said "how many people will actually go back and watch that?"

Cassidy says "Having a debate in the mid-morning when people are at work or at school is a little bit like the Joe Biden campaign strategy, hiding in the basement and hoping nobody notices."
Moon Griffon sent KEEL this statement:
Cassidy says Letlow is hiding from the Public. He came on my program for over a decade. After his guilty vote on Trump he has not come my on program for over 5years. I just wonder what he and Biden been talking about in the basement they been hiding in for all these years.

Cassidy says he has proposed 3 statewide televised debates in primetime and he's ready to participate in those debates.
KEEL pointed out that when Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins ran against him, he refused to debate. Cassidy told us it was a different race. "At that time, I was 20 points ahead. In this race, we are all a little bit closer. Clearly in that race, the people of Louisiana had already spoken.
