LSUS historian, Dr. Cheryl White, talks about a recently discovered cache of letters from a Shreveport mother to her son...fighting in Europe toward the end of World War I.

The letters, originally purchased a decade ago on Ebay by Sister Sharon Rambin, were written in late 1918. The War to End All Wars, as WWI was called, had wound down and an armistice had been signed. American soldiers were waiting to come home, a journey that, for many, took up to six months.
