Jay Dardenne, Louisiana's Commissioner of Administration, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty on Coronavirus numbers around the state and Governor John Bel Edwards' latest plans to limit the spread of the disease.

Dardenne clears up last night's confusion regarding the Governor's announcement on Louisianans over 60. It was originally reported - and later retracted - that Edwards had called for self-quarantining by the state's seniors. In fact, the state's Chief Executive called for those with the highest risk to "limit social interaction."

The Commissioner also explains the latest regarding the plan for the state's schoolchildren, with the announcement coming last week that school's in the state will be closed for one month. Dardenne notes that, as of now, students will not be made to make up time lost.
