Former LSU Coach Ed Orgeron Seen With Walking Cane While Out Recruiting
(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - When Lane Kiffin accepted the LSU head football coaching position in Baton Rouge, he brought several friends along with him, and one is Ed Orgeron, who won a National Championship at LSU.
Coach O became a fixture in Louisiana and across the country after leading the Tigers to a National Championship in 2019, but after that, things went downhill for the program, and LSU fired Orgeron.
Fast forward a few years, and Coach is back at LSU with Lane Kiffin, playing an instrumental role in recruiting for the Tigers.
Just before the season kicked off, we saw Coach O with recruits and their families, and you could see his passion for LSU and the football program. But just as the season was about to start, Coach O was absent from practices, and many fans wondered where he was when the Tigers kicked off their season against Clemson in "Death Valley."
It turns out Coach O was dealing with some health issues, and reports later surfaced that he was in the hospital for nearly two weeks.
The good news is that, since that report, Coach O is out of the hospital, but he still seems to be dealing with some issues. While out recruiting for LSU, the Louisiana icon was spotted getting around with a walking cane.

Not only does his mobility seem to be a challenge, but Coach O also appeared to look weak; again, he is bouncing back after what some reported was a serious health issue while in the hospital.
We wish Coach O the best, and we hope to see him back on the sideline with the Tigers this season. Having met Coach O a few times, I can tell you he is as genuine as anyone in South Louisiana, and like most here, he won't let a health hiccup slow him down when it comes to helping LSU and the football program.
In a separate photo, you see Coach O relaxing while on the recruiting trail, and again, not even a few health issues can slow this Tiger down. Check out the photo below.
