
Shreveport Mass Shooting Suspect Identified and Still at Large
The Shreveport Police Department's Homicide Unit has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation of last Saturday morning's mass shooting. After a thorough and ongoing investigation, detectives have identified one of the suspected shooters as 21 year-old Rasson Smith Jr.
An active warrant has been issued for his arrest on charges of Attempted Second-Degree Murder. Additional charges are expected to be filed as the investigation continues.

Police have reason to believe that Smith is a member of a gang and is considered armed and dangerous. Based on information from multiple sources, investigators believe he has no hesitation in using a firearm, making his capture a critical step in bringing this violent case to a close.

While searching for Rasson Smith Jr., Rasson Smith Sr. was arrested after being in possession of 3 firearms and found to have felony and domestic violence convictions.
