Harding Street Homicide Leads to Arrest by Shreveport Police

Earlier this week, Shreveport Police responded to reports of a shooting on Harding Street.

When Police got to the scene, they found a 17 year-old suffering from gunshot wounds. The teen was identified as Victor Samuels, and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died for his injuries.

SPD Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit determined that Samuels had been involved in a gunfire exchange with another male. During the investigation SPD were able to identify a possible suspect in the shooting.

Yesterday, SPD with the help of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, they were able to arrest 17 year-old Kamarion Young. Young has been charged with one count of Second-Degree Murder and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
