Richard Grieco Announced for Geek’d Con 2026 in Shreveport
North Louisiana is about to become the epicenter of nerd culture once again. Geek'd Con is officially locked in for August 14th through the 16th, 2026. Geek'd is bringing another massive pop culture footprint back to the Shreveport Convention Center.
For over a decade, this homegrown event has provided the Ark-La-Tex with a world-class convention experience right in its own backyard. Fans can expect a jam-packed weekend filled with celebrity meet-and-greets, exclusive merch, and a community atmosphere that rivals the biggest shows in the country.
21 Jump Street and Booker Star Richard Grieco Coming to Shreveport
A true '80s and '90s pop culture icon is coming to Geek'd Con 2026. The legendary Richard Grieco to Shreveport!
Richard skyrocketed to household-name status as the edgy, leather-jacket-wearing Officer Dennis Booker on the massive hit series "21 Jump Street". He became an instant teen idol, bringing so much star power to the role that he even earned his own spin-off series, "Booker", and went on to star in '90s action-comedy hits like "If Looks Could Kill".
The Iconic Voice of Ghost Rider and Disney’s Gargoyles
To comic book fans, he is a legendary voice-acting powerhouse as well. Richard served as Marvel Animation's official voice of the iconic Ghost Rider during the golden era of '90s superhero cartoons. He brought the Spirit of Vengeance to life across multiple classic shows, like "Fantastic Four" and "The Incredible Hulk". His whispery, haunting take on the character is so definitive and beloved that Marvel and Capcom made him the official video game voice of Ghost Rider including the "Marvel vs. Capcom" series.
He also left a huge mark on Disney's legendary animated series "Gargoyles", where he provided the voice for recurring villain Tony Dracon.
Comedy Favorites: A Night at the Roxbury and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Beyond his action and animation legacy, comedy fans revere Richard for his absolutely hilarious, self-deprecating cameos. He famously played a version of himself in the 1998 comedy classic "A Night at the Roxbury", using his star power to help the Butabi brothers finally get into the club.
For modern comedy fans, he delivered one of the most iconic and unhinged guest spots in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" history, brilliantly parodying himself as an eccentric actor hired for Dennis's 'erotic memoirs' in the fan-favorite episode "Dee Made a Smut Film".
