Who Are the Top 50 Highest Paid Caddo Parish Government Workers?

What is the pay disparity between the private and public sector? Lots of folks in the private sector struggle to make ends meet and often work paycheck to paycheck to pay the bills. Some even work more than one job to keep their head above water. Government jobs do tend to pay better and offer more benefits.

During a check of salaries of Caddo Parish Employees, I found lots of folks that make way above the national average salary which is about $60,000 according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The Louisiana average salary is about $53,000.

I look back and often wonder why I didn't get a public job all those years ago. While living in Baton Rouge, I had plenty of chances to go to work for the state or even the city. But I love what I do.

I did have the privilege of having a Mom who was a state worker and she did get a nice salary and great benefits.

I recently requested the list of all Caddo Parish Government employees with their titles and salaries and put together a list of the top 50 highest paid workers.

4 Caddo Parish employees make over $200,000 a year. The parish also has 20 workers who make more than $100,000 a year. These are very good salaries for this area. The cost of living in Louisiana is much lower than you will find in other states.
