Krewe of Centaur is hosting a massive public shopping event this Saturday. As Mardi Gras season is ramping up in Shreveport and Bossier City, the Krewe of Centaur is ready to help everyone prepare. Get ready for the Krewe of Centaur Annual Ladies Shopping Event and Dress Sale this Saturday, December 13th, at the Krewe of Centaur Den on North Market Street (351 Aero Dr. Shreveport, LA 71107 to be specific for your navigation device).

This event is completely open to the public...so you do not need to be a Krewe member, or RSVP, to attend the event and shop. Admission is free, and the doors will be open from 10am until 3pm for anyone looking to beat the holiday rush.

What You Can Find at The Sale

Shoppers can browse over 50 vendors for holiday gifts, and check out the food trucks parked on site. The main attraction is the gently used formal dress sale...offering deals on gowns for the upcoming bal season.

Proceeds from the dress sale are split between the sellers and local charity efforts. Half of the funds generated go to The Hub: Urban Ministries...which supports The Lovewell Center, and their efforts to stop human trafficking in our community.

What Is The Krewe of Centaur?

The Krewe of Centaur has been a massive part of the Shreveport and Bossier City landscape since they first organized back in 1991. They have grown into one of the largest krewes in the entire state of Louisiana...bringing thousands of visitors to the area every single year.

If you are planning your calendar for the upcoming carnival season...you need to circle a couple of major dates right now. The Krewe of Centaur Grand Bal is set to take over the Shreveport Convention Center on January 24th, 2026. Just a few weeks later the massive Krewe of Centaur Parade will roll through the streets on Saturday, February 7th, 2026.

If you're interested in joining the Krewe, you can find details here.
