
Shreveport Convicted Felon Arrested with Drugs and Machine Gun

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Police Arrest Another Felon with Firearm
On June 16, 2024, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call regarding a parking complaint in the 1500 block of Magnolia Avenue. During the investigation, officers arrested 25-year-old LaQuinta Robinson, who was found to have outstanding warrants for resisting an officer, interfering with law enforcement investigation, no driver's license, and multiple traffic violations.
Further investigation revealed that Robinson was armed with a firearm and in possession of a Schedule II narcotic. As a convicted felon, Robinson is prohibited from possessing a firearm. Additionally, the firearm was found to be illegally altered to function as a fully automatic weapon.
Robinson has been arrested and charged with the following offenses:
- Illegal carrying of a weapon
- Possession of Schedule II narcotics
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Handling of a machine gun
