Gravel Spill Ties up Highway

Things should be all clear again after some tie-ups on I-20 this morning. Right around 9 o'clock, a caller reported that a dump truck lost its load of gravel on I-20 East, from Barksdale Boulevard to Airline Drive...and kept going. The witness saw the driver exit at Airline Drive, and that's where police caught up with him. He was cited for having an unsecured load. The Department of Transportation and Development sent a truck out to clean up the mess. Part of the highway had to be shut down for a couple of hours during that process.
