Mark Cooper, Chief of Staff for Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the state's ongoing plan to fight the spread of the Coronavirus.

Cooper tells KEEL listeners that meetings leading up to the Governor's news conference last week were "very intense." And he adds, "That's what I like about this governor, that he's taking input from everyone."

Cooper says that Edwards has had - and continues to have - calls with the President and his task force on the virus." He adds that the Governor has also had discussions with the Surgeon General in putting together a plan for the state.
