First Mayoral Forum: Who Did Well…and Who Didn’t [VIDEO]
Political analyst Scott Hughes talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about Tuesday night's mayoral forum, who did the best and who took a step in the wrong direction.
Hughes tells KEEL listeners that the forum, held at downtown's Agora Borealis and sponsored by Heliopolis Magazine, that "it was a get to know you type forum. The format wasn't very exciting, the questions were kind of vanilla, but we have three-plus months to do this. It was probably a good coming out party."
Hughes continued his analysis of the ninety minute assembly: "There were no losers. I don't think anybody hurt themselves." He added that the majority of the packed-house crowd were of "millenial" age, saying, "That was the target audience and I asked them afterwards...they thought Perkins did very well, they thought that Jackson did very well, they thought that Ollie was third, basically because she escaped with no damage."
