SHREVEPORT, LA - Two people have been arrested on drug charges in Caddo Parish. This arrest involved members of the multi-agency drug task force. The suspects were  arrested for possession with the intent to distribute narcotics, including fentanyl.

32-year-old Luther Williams and 33-year-old Germany Simpson of the 8600 block of Millicent Way, were arrested following a traffic stop conducted by CPSO deputies. The deputies discovered two pounds of marijuana in the car. The agents then got a search warrant for the home. At that location, they seized an additional six pounds of marijuana, more than four pounds of methamphetamine, and nearly two pounds of fentanyl. Agents also seized $81,736 in cash and a handgun.

Williams and Simpson were arrested and charged with one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I (Marijuana), one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II (Methamphetamine), Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of Domestic Violence, and Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled and Dangerous Substance. Both were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center. Williams is currently jailed with a $835,000 bond. Simpson was released on bond.

The multi-agency drug task force is comprised of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, Shreveport Police Department, Bossier Police Department, Webster Parish Sheriff's Office, and Louisiana State Police.

In a separate case, agents arrested 50-year-old Felanda Ashton and 45-year-old Christopher Woodward for possession with the intent to distribute narcotics, including fentanyl.

They were also arrested following a traffic stop by a Caddo Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit. Agents seized six ounces of methamphetamine, one ounce of cocaine, 15 units of suspected fentanyl, and seized $4,000 in cash.
