National Celebrity to Be Honored by Byrd High in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, LA - You might not realize it but one local high school will have quite a celebration next year. C.E. Byrd High will be marking 100 years. I recently ran across details about the celebration which includes the graduates who will be honored as the 2025 Centennial Byrd Hall of Fame class.

Who Is on This List?

So many great folks are on this list including Meredith Duncan, Jordan Davis, David Matlock and many more. But I noticed someone on this list who I see on TV all the time. I had no clue she hails from this area.

You will find Faith Jenkins on this prestigious list. You can catch Faith on her own court TV show, Judge Faith in reruns. That show ended in 2018. She also hosted Divorce Court from 2020-2022 where she tried to help couples find a way to settle longstanding legal disputes.

But I don't watch too many court TV shows. I typically see Faith Jenkins hosting a very intriguing show called Killer Relationship on Oxygen. I am hooked on that show. But I had no clue she was a Byrd graduate. She also has deep connections to Louisiana.

Faith Jenkins Early Days

She grew up in Shreveport and graduated from Byrd in 1994. She was Miss Louisiana in 2000 and placed as 1st runner up at Miss America 2001.

Faith Jenkins is a graduate of Louisiana Tech where she got a political science degree. She went on to get her law degree from Southern University law school in Baton Rouge where she ranked #1 in her class.

Congrats to Faith Jenkins and a huge congrats to Byrd for being such an amazing place of history and learning in Shreveport.
