Explosive Device Found on Cross Lake Bridge

The Shreveport Fire Department Bomb Squad responded to the Cross Lake Bridge at 7:22 pm Friday evening for what was belived to be some type of suspicious  device.

Fire Investigators ordered the bridge closed to all traffic in an abundance of caution. Upon further investigation the device was determined to be an explosive device.

The Shreveport Bomb Squad rendered the device safe and removed it from the scene. The Cross Lake Bridge was reopened to all traffic at 9:21pm. This incident is under investigation.
