Baton Rouge businessman Eddie Rispone has been doing a lot of campaigning in North Louisiana over the past week. He is trying to drum up enough support to unseat Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards.

We talked with Rispone about tonight's visit from the President and also asked him about I-49's innercity connector, job losses in Shreveport Bossier, infrastructure needs, education and much more.

Rispone tells us Louisiana needs a Constitutional Convention and we must revamp our tax code. He says we are driving too many businesses away because we are no longer competitive.

He also pledges to scrub the budget and make sure gas tax monies are spent on roads and bridges across the state.
