Dr. Martha Whyte with the Office of Public Health implores local residents to heed the Governor's stay at home order. She says this crisis will end much sooner if residents follow the policy.

She says everyone should act like they have the virus and you should treat everyone you come in contact with like they have the virus.

Dr. Whyte also adds the numbers of cases will "be way higher today. But part of that is tests that were slow to come back and all are coming back at once".

As of Sunday morning, there were 837 cases in Louisiana with 20 deaths. There are 16 cases in Caddo Parish and 5 in Bossier Parish.

She adds: "If you want to see this end, you are going to have to be responsible and do the right thing."
