LSUS Political Science Professor Dr. Jeff Sadow talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the recent events in the Shreveport mayor's race, specifically the political rift between Senator Greg Tarver and candidate Adrian Perkins.

Sadow tells KEEL listeners that there is an assumption that "there are rival factions bidding for power in the city of Shreveport and Greg Tarver is one of those of long standing." Regarding Tarver's recent harsh criticism of the political neophyte Perkins, Sadow says, "There's one of two things going on here. One is that Tarver thinks - for whatever reason - that his active support is something that might discourage active support for Perkins. The other is that he's determined that he (Perkins) is not a workable project, that Perkins does not have a chance."
