But KEEL News has learned the fire which was described as suspicious at the time of the blaze in late January has now been ruled as arson. Fire Chief Scott Wolverton sent us this statement about the fire this morning:

The fire has been determined to be Arson.  The investigation is still on-going.  Our investigators do have a person of interest and are building their case now.  No arrest has been made yet; but when and if an arrest is made; the findings will be turned over to the District Attorney’s office for review and potential prosecution.

Don's Seafood closed its doors in 2008. It's been vacant since the business shut down.

The building was heavily damaged in the blaze. It took more than 30 firefighters to put out the raging fire. Members of the Broadmoor Neighbors in Shreveport Group want to know what's taking so long to get the building torn down. The building is set for demolition, but that is up to the property owner at this point. No timetable has been released on when the demolition will happen.
